Description:
Mr. Whiskers is my first major passion project. Mr. Whiskers is designed to be a single player 31 day campaign where players play in the third-person as a cat (Mr. Whiskers) who protects his house from the impending dangers while his owner is out of the house at their 9-5 job. The game offers players a max playtime of 1 hour and 48 minutes, with each day spanning 3 minutes (or until all enemies are defeated) and each night spanning 30 seconds to allow players to regenerate health, spend skill points, and spend time with their beloved owner.
The month prior Mr. Whiskers owner found out that he broke her favorite vase. To stop you from doing this again she has blocked off rooms and locked doors. To gain access back into these rooms players will have to keep order within the house and defend it from hordes of rats and other enemies while their owner is at work all day. Every 4 successfully defended days Mr. Whiskers owner will grant him access to a new room in the house. Before unlocking a new room players must triumph in a boss fight. With every boss fight adding new enemies with unique attacks and stats, players must adapt their playstyles to overcome their foes. To allow a more personalized player experience players will earn 1 skill point every 2 days and can earn extras as they achieve specific daily tasks. Players can spend their skill points in the skill tree section of the menu where it is broken up into 3 unique categories (Attack, Defense, and Speed).
